Meditation in the form of centering prayer is a
spiritual exercise which can help one to stay in touch with the
Spirit within. The daily practice opens one's spirit to God in
trust. Meditation can create a postive climate for preserving
energy, allowing God and nature to heal and restore us. This
centering prayer is a technique known all over the world.
Take a
comfortable position.
Focus your
attention on yur own breathing.
Slow down
the rhythm of your breathing.
Choose a
word like Father or Jesus, and quietly repeat that word over and
over as you inhale.
Continue in
this state of humble receptivity.
Absorb God's
love as you would the warmth of the sun.
Do this for
ten minutes twice a day and your spirit will gain new energy and
peace.
